Sligo Soundscapes
An evening of music, memory and place.
Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of County Sligo with Sligo Soundscapes, a unique sensory experience set against the stunning backdrop of the beautiful landscape.
This showcase of the music of Sligo through a live performance by local musicians, presenting a carefully curated repertoire that spans centuries of locally composed music is a truly immersive experience. The performance will celebrate the legacy of composers whose works reflect the people, places, and soundscapes of the region—linking built heritage with the intangible cultural traditions of Sligo.
The audience will journey through the history of the Sligo style, exploring its global significance and deep local roots. This is more than a concert—it's an educational and cultural experience offering insights into the history of and the customs of the local people, and the vibrant musical culture of the region.
Join us for an evening of reflection, storytelling, and celebration of the rich musical tapestry of County Sligo.
This project was the recipient of a Week at the Well residency in 2025 which offered the artist time to develop the concept further.
